Lladro Porcelain Lithophane Votive Light - Buddha
The depicted image is the Buddha Amitabha, the Buddha of Infinite Light, one of the most popular Buddhas. He is represented with his hands in the dhyana position (mudra), with the hands forming a cup or bowl in a meditation pose. This image appears on the front and the back of the lithophane. And on the right and left sides we can see the attributes of this God: the lotus flower, representing rebirthing and spiritual growth, and the two peacocks that sustain his throne and symbolize the fire element. All the ornamentation motifs and details remind us of the wealth of Hindu iconography and the gesture of this Buddha Amitabha invites us to meditation. The lithophane includes a battery-powered LED for illumination, although candles of a fitting size can also be used.
